NSI offer a complete fabrication service which complements our laser division. We are approved to ISO 9001:2008 for the supply of metal assemblies.

From proto-types to volume production of complex welded assemblies, we can supply manufactured parts using the latest technology and processes.

From design to manufacture our engineers provide our customers with a solution to meet their requirements. NSI has a modern fabrication facility and our commitment to lean manufacturing means our team of engineers are continuously looking to improve our processes and reduce waste and improve efficiency. This approach sets us apart from our competitors and provides our customers with the knowledge that we are always looking for complete customer satisfaction in the parts we manufacture.

We offer all surface finishes including shot blasting, pickling, plating, galvanising, wet paint finishes including pre-treatments and powder coating.

We currently supply major OEM’s with manufactured parts. From kanban, JIT, to online schedules for volume production parts, to complex one off assemblies, our advanced manufacturing control software can control and monitor all of our fabrication processes from forecasts through to contract review and final assembly and delivery.

This enables us to be flexible where required but also we can identify capacity/utilisation requirements unique to a workplace. This ability makes sure we can adapt quickly to any issues and continue to meet the delivery requirements for our products.

NSI welders can weld all types of materials from mild steel, coated steels, stainless steels and aluminium. All of our welders are accredited to the following standards,
MIG and TIG BS-EN-287-1:2011

NSI offers robotic MIG welding for high volume assemblies and also has six dedicated welding cells. All of our weld cells have specialised prototype weld tables including specialised clamps which snap into positions on the tables for work-holding. This gives our welders the ability to quickly and accurately locate and hold parts for welding without the need in most cases of expensive fixtures. This also helps to reduce setup times and make small to medium batch runs more efficient, reducing costs to our customers.
